Arrival and Bucharest City Tour
Arrival in Bucharest airport and transfer to the hotel in the city.
Full day to explore Bucharest.
Known for its wide, tree-lined boulevards, glorious Belle Époque buildings and a reputation for the high life (which in the 1900s earned its nickname of “Little Paris”), Bucharest, Romania’s largest city and capital, is today a bustling metropolis.
In the morning we take a guided tour, where we will see the Arch of Triumph, pass through Calea Victoriei which is Bucharest’s oldest most charming street, discover some of the most stunning buildings in the city, including the Cantacuzino Palace, the Revolution Square, the Military Club,
National Savings Bank Palace and the National History Museum. We visit the old town, where at the beginning of 1400s, most merchants and craftsmen – Romanian, Austrian, Greek, Armenian and Jewish – established their stores and shops in this section of the city; Today, the area is home to art galleries, antique shops, coffeehouses, restaurants and night-clubs. At the centre of the historic area are the remains of the Old Princely Court, built in the 15th century by Vlad Tepes, also known as Vlad Dracula
Later we enter to the Bucharest Parliament Palace.
Built at the special request of Nicolae Ceausescu, leader of Romania’s Communist Party, the colossal Parliament Palace – formerly known as “People’s House” is the world’s second largest administrative building after the U. S. Pentagon. It took 20,000 workers and 700 architects to build this masive structure that boasts 12 stories, 1,100 rooms, a 350-ft.-long lobby and eight underground levels, including an enormous nuclear bunker. We visit also one of the oldest churches in Bucharest (with parts dating back to the 16th century and a steeple built in 1715), the Apostles’ Church. Dinner and overnight in Bucharest.

Bucharest – Sinoe village on the Black Sea coast
Today we transfer towards the Sinoe village on the Black Sea coast, located about 3 hours drive from Bucharest. In Sinoe we will spend the next 3 overnights.
We go birdwatching in Sitorman Quarry, where we can look for Eurasian Stone-curlew Burhinus oedicnemus, Isabelline, Tawny Pipit Anthus campestris, European Souslik Spermophilus citellus and Pied Wheatear. Overnight in Sinoe, in a rural landscape.

Birdwatching in Vadu and Histria
Vadu and Histria are 2 of the 3 best wetlands south of the delta. The site consists of coastal lagoons. Both sites are Great for gulls and waders; both Black-winged Pratincole and White-tailed Plover
We can spot also: Collared Pratincole, Marsh Sandpiper, Caspian Tern, Red-necked Phalaropes, Stone Curlew, and Broad-billed Sandpiper. In Histria, we can look for Paddyfield Warbler, which Histria is famous for. Overnight in Sinoe village.

Sinoe – Babadag Forest – Danube Delta
Today we reach Danube Delta, where the Danube river meets the Black Sea, and has created a massive deltaland, Europe’s largest wetland area. The Danube Delta is the second largest river delta in Europe, after the Volga Delta, and is the best preserved on the continent. The 580,000 hectare delta is home to massive amounts of water birds of all kinds, most notably pelicans of two species, herons, storks, cormorants and terns. Along the way we stop at the Babadag Forest, where we can look for woodpeckers. In the afternoon we take a boat tour in the Danube delta. Overnight in the Danube Delta.
